Geographically the location is quite strategic Pegayaman Village. Areas with a population of  approximately 4,800 people that's not including the hinterland as well instead of city area. The distance is only 12 kilometers south of the city of Singaraja and about 65 kilometers from the direction of Denpasar. Formerly, indeed, Pegayaman is part of the territory of the Kingdom of Buleleng is heavily wooded.

Around the 1600 years, Raja Panji Sakti of Buleleng Ki Barak - the power at the time - gave the territory to the Muslims
who came from Java after the end of the war against the Kingdom Balambangan. The story, after the war against the Kingdom Balambangan it happens sort of a goodwill mission Muslims from Java to Bali. As told by traditional leaders Pegayaman Village Ketut Jayadi Raji, a resident of the Java anyone brought elephants or elephant-shaped souvenirs.

Some time later the king of Buleleng give such options to the residents to choose the residential areas as a permanent residence. Muslims were then choose a place in the forest region southern region now known as Village Pegayaman.

The road to the village Pegayaman Sukasada District, Buleleng, not too hard to find the direction of Denpasar or Singaraja. If the slide from the direction of Denpasar via Bedugul, arrived in the village of Bite will find a small paved road, although somewhat damaged, turn right. Go on the road. Along the way the couple looked fields extend. On higher ground, where the land is hilly rather small, lined clove trees, coffee and other typical trees.

Looking to the south, in the distance will extend the cluster of hills that seem to divide the territory of South Bali and northern Bali. Therein lies the settlement of Faith Wayan Muhajir and his friends. Pegayaman is known as one of the old Muslim villages in Bali. More than 90 percent of the population are Muslims.
